Musée de l’Homme
The consortium Active Creative Design / Emmanuel Mâa Berriet / Pôle Nord Studio took over six multimedia installations as part of the renovation of the Museum of Man. ACD, who coordinated the whole operation, intervened directly on 4 projects.
The renovation of the Musée de l’Homme has given rise to a complete renewal of the permanent exhibition, both in terms of set design and content. It now focuses on three thematics introduced by the six visual sequences exhibited in the lobby of the exhibition gallery, all directed and produced by Active Creative Design.
The mission of the Musée de l’Homme is to articulate a scientific knowledge, which is valorized through the collections and a research center, with a pedagogical dimension bearer of fundamental human values. The six sequences aim to stage this articulation using simple representations, not acting in the manner of a digest of the content developed throughout the exhibition, but rather as a series of visual questions resuming the title of the famous painting by Paul Gauguin: “Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?”
Each animation consists of a sequence shot developing a unique visual idea. All the sequences are 45 seconds long, made with 3D and motion design, and synchronized together to offer the visitor a continuous experience.
