Museum Of Contemporary Art
Presented as part of CROSS designers collective exhibition at the Museum Of Contemporary Art Taipei, Drops is an original creation on the relationship between physical space and multimedia space.
The physical space is embodied on the ground by a broad horizontal band of white gravel. It defines a public side border and opens an horizon in its depth. Covering the wall, a vertical projection turns off gently on this band. The immateriality of the image and the physical presence of floor resonate along this soft line. The projection, generated by software, features a simple shape, the circle, which by its continuous movement comes to give a depth to the composition. Each circle is associated with a sound frequency.A screen located as a counterpoint to the projection recovers real-time color values of the main composition, displayed in a mathematical form. The initial sensible form is reflected in its digital abstraction, questioning the nature of aesthetic outcome of graphical programming.
