Berlin Fashion Guide was born from a double challenge: to introduce the rising generation of designers from the German capital to Asia, but also to offer a book that presents itself as an attractive object, in graphic dialogue with the subjects it addresses.
In Berlin, conditions were ideal in the 2000s to see the emergence of a new generation of designers developing original themes. The city is booming, and is quickly becoming the musical and artistic capital of Europe. The author explored this universe for several months, multiplying encounters, clearing out this scene that had barely emerged from the underground to offer a synthesis that was as fresh as it was original.
Both author and graphic designer, Kuei Yu Ho transforms this report into a visual reflection on emerging aesthetics. More than a simple guide, the work becomes an experience in its own right for the reader.
