The donation of a set of works by the painter Eugène Villon to the town hall of Caluire et Cuire in 2019 by the Gay family required the creation of a dedicated exhibition space. Located in a former convent now housing the Town Hall and a range of administrative and cultural services, this development is part of a busy patio, near a chapel classified as a historic monument.
For this project, ACD structured the visiting space around a contemporary, open and fragmentary circulation, while on each side, the exhibition rails offer sobriety and classicism in dialogue with the nature of the works on display.
In addition, a multimedia device designed and produced by ACD allows the public to discover a wider selection of the painter’s works.
Study and proposal, scenography, graphics, lighting, multimedia design and production, business consultation, production monitoring.
